“Stancenese”
Staying with the Cobo family and two other spanish students, Paul and Theresa, has been invaluable in our (my wife and I) quest to learn a new language. It has been a rewarding experience to sit around a dinner table with this wonderful family and converse in their native tongue. It has been equally rewarding to meet Theresa from Germany and Paul from Montana, USA. However, it is difficult to have meaningful conversation between people who aren’t fluent in each others language. This is where the universal language of stance comes in handy. We have found common ground in the wonderful world of stancenese. We now share a common bond. This was Theresa’s last day with us so we used stance-ese to say “goodbye”, “adios”, “Tschüss” or possibly “Auf Wiedersehen”
